When creating a Milkymap, you can choose the sector. You have the possibility to choose from the most used sectors in the world. You can show the audience and your stakeholders in what sector this map belongs. Next to that, we can analyze the data, so we know how many maps there are in a certain sector. With this information we can help the community with extra features or even blueprints for each sector.

Customer type
For each Milkymap you choose the Customer type. We believe in a difference between Persona's and Customer types. A customer type is a type of customer... :-) You can visualize the experience in a Milkymap for a student, a citizen, a client, a customer or a patient. These types (roles) say something about the context of this person. It does not say anything about the specific needs, hobby's or age. That information belongs to a Persona. Customer type helps you to present the map and share in a correct way, so the persons who receives it, understands the map better.

Current state / Future state
There are only two statuses a map can have: current state or future state. For each map you choose which state the map has. When building a future state and you want to re-use the current state, copy the current state map and change the state.
